The First Match of Francofootball project

June 1, the first Francofootball match will be held on the RUDN University playing field. French-speaking students of Peoples` friendship university of Russia and Moscow state linguistic university will participate. The event will be celebrated 2 days before the FIFA World Cup official opening in Brazil. Organized by the French Embassy Cooperation and Culture Department the Francofootball project is confined to the 2016 UEFA European Championship held in France and the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia. French students and students who study French are to take part in this project. The friendly games will be held in 11 Russian cities which will host World Championship. In the context of these meetings the French Embassy Cooperation and Culture Department will celebrate events which will be dedicated to the French language in the field of tourism, translation and sport management.
