Traumatology and orthopedics of the capital. The present and the Future

February 13-14, the professors of the department of traumatology and orthopedics of the Faculty of Medicine of RUDN University hosted the II Congress of traumatologists and orthopedists “Traumatology and orthopedics of the capital. The present and the Future”, carried out with great success in the house of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Scientists. The goal of the Congress is to provide specialists in that field with information on new data that characterizes the modern out-look of the traumatological diseases and about bringing new medical technologies into clinical practice. In the framework of the Congress the following topics have been discussed: relevant matters of general orthopedy; replacement arthroplasty, arthroscopic surgery, spine surgery, supporting-motor apparatus diseases , diagnosis of the injuries and diseases of supporting-motor apparatus, new technologies in traumatology and orthopedics, etc. In the course of the Congress plenary meetings, workshops, scientific practical activities in the sphere of relevant scientific matters also took place. Also during the event an exposition of specialized goods and services for professional traumatologists, orthopedists and prosthetists, including medical equipment, instruments, and specialized magazines and other types of products related to the theme of the Congress was presented.
