May 15, VII annual interacademic science conference “Up-to-date Issues of Modern Literary Studies” will be celebrated in room 442 of the RUDN University Philological faculty. This year the conference is dedicated to special aspects in portraiture of the socialism epoch in the dissident literature, issues of fiction translation of Shakespeare and Fenelon, concept and literature distinction of the old Singhalese and modern Iranian poetry, comedy and humor evolution in the European culture, synthesis of arts, comparative studies, influence of the eastern poetry on the Russian silver age literature, theoretical ground of the mythopoetics.

RUDN returns the name of Patrice Lumumba

The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) again has the name of Patrice Lumumba, the first Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who has become a symbol of the African peoples’ struggle for independence. RUDN rose to the 26th position in the UI GreenMetric 2022 ranking and confirmed the status of the “greenest” university in Russia. The ranking includes 1,050 world universities, of which 52 are Russian.
