Piotr Dutkiewicz, professor of political science, director of the Center for Governance and Public Policy at Carleton University (Canada) is coming to the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia from December 2 till December 6th 2013. During his visit he will held a special seminar (master-class) of scientific publishing at the foreign editions, as well as give lectures to the students, who study at the Undergraduate and Master’s programmes in Russian Studies. Professor Piotr Dutkiewicz has contributed to the development of Canada-Russia relations and academic achievement, he was editor in chief of a twenty-one-volume series on Local and Regional Development in Poland and Eastern Europe (1986–89) and editor (or coeditor) of twelve other books, the most recent of which is Democracy versus Modernization: A Dilemma for Russia and for the World (coedited with Vladislav Inozemtsev, 2012) and Russia: The Challenges of Transformation (coedited with Dmitri Trenin, 2011). Piotr Dutkiewicz is a member of the Executive Committee of the Valdai Discussion Club - a group of forty world renowned experts on Russia. For his contribution to the development and strengthening of Russian-Canadian friendship he received the Russian Federation’s Order of Friendship.

RUDN University entered the top-30 "greenest" universities in the world according to GreenMetric 2021 ranking

RUDN has risen to the 28th position in the international ranking of environmentally friendly universities UI GreenMetric 2021 remaining the “greenest” university in Russia. This is the best result in the history of the university’s ranking participation since 2011. The list of the “greenest” universities was published on December 14. There are 956 universities from 80 countries, including 54 universities from Russia. The goal of the UI GreenMetric — assess universities according to campus development ecological sustainability and the energy-saving model of university management.
