Visit of the chairman of the Federation Council Matviyenko V.I.

The chairman of the Federation Council Matviyenko V.I. visited the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia October 16, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko visited the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. The speaker of the Federation Council took part in the first meeting of the Supervisory council, created in connection with the adoption of our university of the status of autonomous state institution. Valentina Matviyenko was elected Chairman of the Supervisory council of RUDN University, which is composed of representatives of the university and the public. V.I.Matviyenko also met with leaders of RUDN University student associations. The Federation Council speaker conversed with students and answered their questions, concerning the problems of employment, opportunities of further education and the legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, as well as the situation in Ukraine and the trade and economic cooperation with the countries of Pacific Rim.
