In RUDN passed the International School “Landscape design and creative”

An international school for entrants to the master programs called “Landscape design and creative” took place in the Agrarian and Technological Institute of RUDN University in March 26-28, 2020.

The school was going in Online-Webinar format, organized by RUDN University with “City Innovations” and “Young Urbanists Club” support.

The aims of the school were to improve the theoretical and practice skills by effective studying of landscape architecture, urbanization and development of "green" areas and to provide career guidance work with potential students of master's programs of the RUDN University.

The urgency of the school was conditioned by the needs of “smart” landscape architecture in the world and the needs of comfortable urban environment.

In total, 110 students from universities in Moscow and other regions took part in the school.

RUDN University and the University of Tushia (Italy) have double master program "Management and design of urban green infrastructure", so students from the University of Tushia (Italy) took part in school through the project of transnational cooperation envisaged by the Program for Increasing Competitiveness "5-100". Also, famous scientists from “Smart technologies for sustainable urban development in global changes" Lab was involved in work of the school.

Director of the Department of Landscape Design and Sustainable Ecosystems of the ATI RUDN Elvira Dovletyarova as well as Head of the professional student association “Workshop of landscape architecture and design of RUDN University” Tatyana Dubrovina took part in the opening ceremony of the school.

Head of the Regional Development department of the All-Russian organization City Renovations, Veronika Nikulina, and curator of the Young Urbanists Club project Maria Terentyeva shared their experience in urban public spaces area.

 

Educational part of the workshop “Creating a Creative Green Space” was dedicated to the lectures on the analysis of public territories that were delivered by Anastasia Konstantinova, from “Smart technologies for sustainable urban development in global changes" Lab and Ilya Mochalov, General Director of “Ilya Mochalov & Partners LLC”.

The next day a practical lesson called " Presentation of analytical information" was organized for participants of the school, where it was possible to ask interesting questions on the analysis and how to provide information in more efficiently way.

On the final day the results of the school was be summed up, listeners' posters were presented and the best works were determined.

All the students of the school received memorable online certificates.
