Russian – Chinese cooperation in education discussed at the Ministry of education and science

27 June, 2017, the XVII meeting of the Russian-Chinese commission on cooperation in the field of education took place at the RF Ministry of education and science.

27 June, 2017, the XVII meeting of the Russian-Chinese commission on cooperation in the field of education took place at the RF Ministry of education and science. The two delegations were headed by the ministers of education. Special attention was paid to the increase of quantitative indexes of Russian-Chinese student exchange by 2020, strengthening partner links between the two countries, development of Russian-Chinese associations of field-specific universities, as well as teaching Russian in China and teaching Chinese in Russia.

Larisa Efremova, RUDN Vice-Rector for international mobility took part in the meeting and co-chaired the Russian-Chinese working group for interaction in studying and teaching Russian and Chinese, developing bilateral academic exchange and university scientific cooperation

RUDN has long been exporting educational services to China. To select the most talented school leavers RUDN holds open Olympiads in different subjects. Currently there are more than 700 Chinese students in RUDN and by 2020 the University is planning to increase the number.

RUDN is the head university of SCO university and acts as its rectorate. In the frame of SCO university RUDN realizes joint programs in «Teaching sciences», «Ecology» and «Regional studies» where Russian and Chinese students get RUDN diploma and a Chinese university diploma as well as SCO University certificate. All in all RUDN has 48 agreements with 34 universities and organizations in China.

From RUDN to Beijing: How Moscow Stage of Chinese Bridge Competition Unfolds

On April 25-26, RUDN University hosted the Moscow qualifying stage of the XIV All-Russian “Chinese Bridge” Competition. One of the most prestigious contests brought together 288 Moscow schoolchildren, who demonstrated their knowledge of Chinese language, culture and traditions.
