In honor of the 65th anniversary of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba, the Digital Pre-University Faculty gives a unique opportunity to RUDN foreign alumni to communicate in Russian and their family members to study Russian together with the best professors of RUDN.
The new list of federal innovation platforms (FIP) of the Russian Federation includes 30 new organisations. Among them is Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba. This became possible thanks to the development of the Digital Pre-University Faculty of RUDN.
December 15, Minsk hosted the IX International Student Olympiad in Human Anatomy. It was attended by 9 teams from Russia and Belarus. Students of RUDN took two 3rd places in the theoretical and practical rounds.
The VI Firsova Readings conference “Modern languages and cultures: variability, functions, ideologies in the cognitive aspect”, held at the Faculty of Philology brought together speakers from Russia, England, Hungary, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, working in 9 thematic sessions. The conference featured a workshop, a round table and three seminars in Russian and English.
RUDN University will again become the most international platform for the Geographical Dictation, which will be held on November 19, in Russia and abroad. The dictation is held annually by the Russian Geographical Society on the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin. RUDN University staff, together with Moscow school students, composed audio guides in 5 languages for the “Feat of the Army” exhibition at the Victory Museum.
October 4, the award of the Government of the Russian Federation Prize in the field of education took place.
Future architects and designers of RUDN University became finalists of the international competition “Moon Station”. They presented the architectural-spatial concept and technology for deploying a manned research modular station inside a lava cave under the surface of the Moon.
Rossotrudnichestvo held the competition “Masters of the Russian Language - 2023”. The winners were two students of the Faculty of Philology and two of the Russian Language Institute: Alina Vasko and Anastasia Solovyova, Milena Scherbakova and Valeria Pyankova. Now they will go for a month to teach Russian in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Argentina.
The XXX International Mathematics Competition for University Students 2023 has ended in Bulgaria. The competition brought together 393 of the strongest students from 40 countries, including Singapore and Indonesia, South Africa and Algeria, Mexico and Colombia, Spain and Norway. RUDN mathematicians won silver and bronze.
The third-year bachelor students in Ecology and Nature Management Shkopkina Angelina and Mustafina Kamila who are also mastering the professional conversion course "Translator" at the Institute of Environmental Engineering not only had the opportunity to show all their language skills and abilities, but also to become the best in interpreting among 48 other participants in the International Interpreting Competition in Minsk (the Republic of Belarus).
4 days of work, 4 sections, 270 participants — RUDN University environmentalists from Nigeria won the competition of young scientists in the nomination “Best poster report” among the participants of the conference at the Russian University of Chemical Technology named after D. Mendeleev.
