RUDN delegation holds talks on cooperation with University of Mauritius
The parties are planning student exchange, included training, joint master's and PhD programs, cooperation in engineering, natural sciences, agronomy, linguistics, journalism.
The meeting was held within the framework of solemn events on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Mauritius.
RUDN is the first Russian university, whose representatives have visited the country with the purpose of establishing scientific and educational contacts during the last several decades.

RUDN has been training highly qualified specialists for the Republic of Mauritius since 1960, over 150 specialists in the field of medicine, construction and veterinary have been trained over the past period. As of today, 2 citizens of Mauritius study at RUDN.
The University of Mauritius was founded in 1966, to provide quality education, creation and dissemination of knowledge through research and innovative approaches in the interests of the country and its national economy. More than 10 thousand students study at the university.
The number of foreign ambassadors of Russian education and science has reached 47. In October 2026, 12 more teachers, scientists, and public figures received this honorary status - from Brazil, Israel, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, China, Lebanon, Moldova, Mongolia, Nigeria, Peru, Syria, and the Central African Republic. Five of them studied at Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
Last week, RUDN University welcomed a delegation led by Gao Song, President of Peking University. The visit marked his first international trip since assuming office as the rector of the university, which ranks 13th globally.
In RUDN’s main building, Russian speech has mixed with Arabic and strict business suits with national attire. The reason for this is the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The university hosted a large-scale event “The Century of Friendship, Cultural and Scientific Exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation”, which brought together diplomats, scientists, rectors of leading universities, and students.
