Today they got acquainted with Russia and for the first time said a word in Russian: students from Pakistan came to RUDN University
They have already managed to see the university and meet with the Rector of RUDN University Oleg Yastrebov. “First of all, zdravstvuite (Hello)!” — this is how the students greeted the participants of the meeting. The greeting was the first word they said in Russian. Young people told the rector about their impressions of Russia and the summer school.
“RUDN has trained more than 400 specialists for Pakistan. Today we have 12 students from this country. <...> Students from 160 countries say every day that RUDN University is the most comfortable, convenient and friendly university. I am sure you will like it. Welcome to the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia,” said Oleg Yastrebov, Rector of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
In RUDN’s main building, Russian speech has mixed with Arabic and strict business suits with national attire. The reason for this is the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The university hosted a large-scale event “The Century of Friendship, Cultural and Scientific Exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation”, which brought together diplomats, scientists, rectors of leading universities, and students.
RUDN University delegation, led by the university's president Vladimir Filippov, paid an important official visit to China. The central events of the business visit were signing of a memorandum on the establishment of an International Scientific Center for Mathematics within the framework of the SCO University and awarding the title of Honorary Professor of Xi'an Jiaotong University to Vladimir Filippov. RUDN University also presented its educational potential at a world-class University Forum and a specialized exhibition.
From April 16 to 19, Casablanca hosted one of the largest international education exhibitions, where over 200 educational institutions from 40 countries presented their academic opportunities to young people from Morocco and other African countries.
