Costumes, toys and crafts... A week of culture of students from Asian countries at RUDN
The event was attended by:
- Chamila Jayarathna — Plenipotentiary Minister of Education and Economics, Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russia;
- Nanang Fadillah — Minister-Counselor, Coordinator of the Department of Information and Sociocultural Issues, Embassy of Indonesia in Russia;
- Adi Nuryanto — Attaché for education and culture, Embassy of Indonesia in Russia;
- Andri Haekal — First Secretary, Embassy of Indonesia in Russia.
“Over these few days, we got to know each other’s culture even more and showed it to our friends from other regions of this vast world, saw performances by talented students and became better friends, learned to help, support and share our energy and time. I am sure that this was another great opportunity to see the magnificent, different and special cultures of Asian countries together,” Jayasinghe Havpage Manuli Gayathma from Sri Lanka, President of the Association of Students from Asian Countries at RUDN University.
The week of culture ended with a festive concert. Students performed national dances and songs of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Laos, Mongolia, Thailand and Sri Lanka.

RUDN University staff and alumni received state and departmental awards at the State Kremlin Palace during a festive concert in honor of RUDN 65th anniversary.
RUDN University employees’ work and contribution to the development of the university cannot go unappreciated. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia recognizes talented university employees and present them with various departmental and state awards.
