Omani coffee, costumes from Muscat and national music... RUDN University hosts Culture Days of students from Oman

Representatives of the community organized an exhibition, where they talked about the traditions of the sultanate, its nature — oases in the beds of dried up rivers and deserts.

Students treated guests to Omani coffee, performed national dances, while girls could try on traditional women’s costumes. Said Al Jahfali Said Ahmed, president of the Omani community, specially brought them from Muscat, his hometown.

“The Days of Culture were in an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. We were able to talk about our country — a sultanate with amazing nature and rich cultural heritage. Salalah, Muscat, Ain Gerziz — all these cities captivate with the beauty of the mountains, sea and exciting history,” Said Al Jahfali Said Ahmed, President of the Oman Community.

Today the sultanate’s community comprises 8 people.
