Volunteers of RUDN University make a fest for the children of the family center
RUDN University Volunteer Center has been friends with the “Attraction” family center for 6 years. This year the fest was organized by 12 students from African countries. Together with the children, they performed traditional dances of African countries, played drums, maid braids and learned to draw with henna.
“I like talking with children. They do charge my batteries! I taught them to play African drums, and they were very good. The kids asked us about the countries where we came from, life and traditions. But most of all I liked the question: how long does it take to be in the sun to tan like that!” says Arnaud Sossu (Benin), “International Relations”, 3rd year.
“We tried to give the kids a real fest. And I’m glad that I could see smiles on their faces. I hope to come here again and spend even better time with the children,” Joseph Starlone Peter (Tanzania), General Medicine, 2nd year.
