Every year, the Global No Pesticides Use Day is celebrated on December 3. This day was chosen to commemorate the environmental disaster that occurred on December 3, 1984 at a pesticide plant in Bhopal, India.

The purpose of the event of the Department of Foreign Languages is to attract the attention of students to the problem of production and use of pesticides that pose a threat to the environment and human health.

To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set:

  • To introduce students to the pros and cons of using pesticides;
  • To explain the harm caused by its use to the environment;
  • To suggest alternatives to pesticides in agriculture.
