International seminar “Microbiological Agents for Environmental Management”
On September 25 at 15:00, the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba will host the International Scientific Seminar “Microbiological Agents for Environmental Management”.
During the seminar we will talk about microorganisms for Organic Farming, about the use of microbes in agarwood production and about recovery of struvite from wastewaters as an eco-friendly fertilizer. Speakers from Pakistan (University of Lahore), Sri Lanka (University of Sri Jayewardenepura) and Tunisia (University of Sfax) will share the results of their work.
The scientific seminar is intended to become a dialogue platform for the exchange of modern research on the use of various microbiological agents, such as bacteria, fungi, microalgae and cyanobacteria, in the following areas:
- Soil bioremediation
- Organic farming
- Fertilizers development
- Plant protection
Participants will have the opportunity to expand and strengthen their academic contacts, discuss advanced developments and technologies in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development.
