The events are organized annually to help accelerate the development of the Russian scientific-technological and production base of the bio industry to ensure, on the principles of import substitution, the country’s medicinal and industrial safety, and to create a pool of biotechnological enterprises operating in different economic segments and oriented to the production of demanded bio products for health and Medicine, industry, agriculture and forestry, energy, transport, housing and communal services, ecology and other spheres.

Abdukodir Khakimov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, researcher at the Institute of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the RUDN University, spoke at a strategic session on the development of promising technologies for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) at the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.
The Department of Environmental Management of RUDN Institute of Environmental Engineering hosted the student conference "Geoecology: Theory and Practice". More than 260 young scientists presented the results of their research. The geography of participants comprised 22 organisations from Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Egypt, Tajikistan.
The scientific and practical conference “Expanding Boundaries” was held at RUDN Faculty of Philology. 123 postgraduate students from Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia and Russia spoke at round tables about their dissertations and theoretical and practical problems they face in their research.
