The IV International Scientific Conference “Spiritual and Moral Culture in Higher School 1917-2017: comprehension of the history”
On the 26th of January, in RUDN University was held the IV International Scientific Conference " Spiritual and Moral Culture in Higher School.1917-2017: comprehension of the history“. More than 400 representatives of the scientific community of Secular and Religious Universities and Academies, as well as students visited the conference to discuss issues of spiritual development, moral education in Russian higher education.
The conference was held by the Moscow Theological Academy and RUDN University in the frames of jubilee XXV International Christmas Readings. The event was attended by representatives of the clergy, leaders, scholars and professors of the religious and secular institutions of higher education, leaders and specialists of state authorities, professors of general and Sunday schools, institutions of additional education for children from various cities of Russia and abroad. Experts represented more than 20 regions of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vologda, Voronezh, Volgograd, Izhevsk, Irkutsk, Kirov, Kaliningrad, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Orel, Orenburg, Penza, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, Saratov, Smolensk , Sochi, Cheboksary, Yaroslavl and others.
In the process of working of 3 Round Tables of the Conference “Symphony of Church and Secular History of Education in Higher Educational Institutions: Results of the Twentieth Century”, “Strategy for the Development of Spiritual and Moral Culture in Universities”, “Practices of Spiritual and Moral Culture in Higher Education Institutions” were discussed the main issues of higher education and upbringing. Special attention has been paid to consideration of urgent approaches to the strategy of education in modern Russia, spirituality in higher education institution, to the solution of problems of spiritual and moral formation of student’s youth.
The Department of Environmental Management of RUDN Institute of Environmental Engineering hosted the student conference "Geoecology: Theory and Practice". More than 260 young scientists presented the results of their research. The geography of participants comprised 22 organisations from Russia, Algeria, Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Egypt, Tajikistan.
The scientific and practical conference “Expanding Boundaries” was held at RUDN Faculty of Philology. 123 postgraduate students from Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia and Russia spoke at round tables about their dissertations and theoretical and practical problems they face in their research.
On December 1–2, RUDN University will host the annual All-Russian scientific conference “Political science in a changing world: new practices and theoretical search.” Its goal is to find and define popular forms of political science for interpreting ongoing global changes.
