Lectures of Professor of the Tuscia University at RUDN University Agrarian-Technological Institute on the 20 – 26 of May

Prof. Paolo De Angelis, PhD, is Full Professor at the University of Tuscia (Department of Innovative Development of the Biological Systems, Food Industry and Forestry) with the Hirsch index of 34.

He leads a joint double degree program with RUDN University on landscape architecture in the specialty Management and design of urban green infrastructure and also academic adviser for postgraduate students and doctoral students of both universities.

On the 20 – 26 of May Paolo de Angelis read a series of lectures under the title «An introduction to phyto-technologies» to the students of the RUDN University Agrarian-Technological Institute.

In 2017, RUDN University scientists constructed a new explicit second-order precision difference scheme using modern computer algebra methods for 2-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) [1]. This year, our mathematicians used a new scheme [2] to construct a numerical solution to the Cauchy problem with initial data (for t=0) as satisfying the continuity equation. Scientists managed to achieve previously unattainable accuracy of the continuity equation.

Vadim Pokrovsky, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Biochemistry named after Academician T.T. Berezov of the RUDN Medical Institute was awarded the Moscow Government Prize in the “Medical Sciences” category. The award was given for a series of works devoted to the study of the mechanisms of action and antitumor activity of enzymes that destroy amino acids.

The project and publication “USSR-100: reconstruction of history and anniversary”, its authors became laureates of the National Award “Best Books, Publishing Houses, Projects”. One of the authors is Elena Kotelenets, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of History of Russia at RUDN University.
