RUDN University students won 4 million rubles for AI-startup
‘Skopeo.AI’ is a multi-cloud platform for managing Kubernetes clusters, designed to automate and optimise business cloud infrastructure. It reduces the cost of cloud resources, increases system resilience and automates IT processes.
The main functions of the platform are:
- Automatic scaling of cloud resources.
- Load optimisation and application downtime prevention.
- Data monitoring and analysis using AI technologies.
The project was founded by a team of fourth-year students of the part-time direction ‘Applied Mathematics and Computer Science’:
- Artur Busardykov - the ideological inspirer of the startup;
- Mikhail Geller;
- Kamil Mehdiyev.
The team's scientific supervisor is Andrey Vinogradov, Ph.D., associate professor of the Department of Mathematical Modelling and Artificial Intelligence of RUDN University and director of the Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence of A. K. Ailamazyan Program Systems Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Thanks to the grant, the team will be able to finalise the development of MVP (minimum viable product) and prepare for pilot launches.
The researchers plan to participate in the second and third stages of the grant programme. They are also going to raise pre-seed investments and take part in the stage A to scale the project and enter international markets, including the CIS and China.
The global market of cloud technologies is growing every year, but the AI and automation market in Russia and the CIS is still underestimated. This opens up huge opportunities for the development of startups like Skopeo.AI.
Now the team is working on finalising the MVP, first sales and pilot testing, and raising investments for further growth.
All the team members are already working in the IT field. Artur is a senior DevOps engineer at Innotech, Mikhail is a leading DevOps engineer at ET Consulting (RosAtom) and Kamil is a leading business analyst at BEORG.
Their victory in the grant competition is a vivid example of how students can successfully combine studies, career and development of innovative solutions that can influence the development of technology and business.
Historical conferences, meetings with political scientists and archaeologists, and interesting projects. This is the life of members of the student scientific society of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at RUDN University. It took third place in a competition among university student scientific societies.
Yulianna Morozova, a postgraduate student at the RUDN Academy of Engineering, was among the finalists of one of the prestigious projects of the Innovation Promotion Fund – the UMNIK-2025 competition. She received an individual grant of 500,000 roubles.
At the end of September, the XII Russian Forum of Biotechnology was held. This is a major event that brings together representatives of science, business, and government to address the challenges of ensuring the sustainable development of the biotechnology industry and the country’s economy. The program included expert discussions, roundtables, presentations by industry leaders, workshops, and demonstrations of technologies and equipment.
