Abstract: The effect of hydrogen and argon high-frequency plasma treatment on the catalytic activity of nickel- zirconium phosphate Ni0.5Zr2 (PO4) 3 in isobutanol dehydration and dehydrogenation has been investigated. The catalyst treated with H2-HF and Ar-HF-plasmas exhibits twofold higher activity in both reactions. This effect is due to surface restructuring changing the amount and accessibility of catalytic sites on the phosphate surface.
PYRIDINE ADSORPTION FOR PROBING ELECTRON-ACCEPTOR SITES ON THE SURFACE OF TITANIUM OXIDE WITH SUPPORTED SILVER, COPPER, AND GOLD IONS
Tkhyui D.M., Mikhalenko I.I.
Protection of Metals and Physical Chemistry of Surfaces. 2015. P. 51. № 6. P. 934-938.
Abstract: The results of the study of the pyridine adsorption kinetics show that the application of M + z = Ag +, Cu + 2, Au + 3 ions on the TiO2 (anatase) surface greatly increases its electron-withdrawing properties. Two types of M + z / TiO2 adsorption sites differ in the number of coordinating pyridine sites and their oxidation states. For both types of centers, linear correlations between the rate constants of pyridine adsorption and ionic radii are observed. The adsorption stoichiometry of the less active sites is Py-2M, where M = Cu +, Au +, and Ag0. There is a linear dependence of the antibacterial activity M + z / TiO2 on the ion charge z = +1 (for Ag), +2 (for Cu) and +3 (for Au), and the ability of bacteria to restore silver and gold ions from salt solutions as well as from deposited on the TiO2 forms to metalloids.
