Bachelors in the specialty “Construction” are specialists in the design of buildings and structures, new technologies for the construction of buildings, the development of projects for the organization and management of construction, the design of building structures and the construction of buildings and structures, the operation and repair of building objects, the design and construction of hydraulic structures, roads, airfields, spaceports and other special facilities.
Due to the active development of construction technologies, the presence of significant public and private investments in civil and industrial construction, this profession is one of the most in demand at the moment.

Educational Process

The program focuses on the issues of calculation, design, construction and operation of buildings and structures, consideration of the theory and practice of hydraulic and underground facilities, as well as obtaining primary skills in the specialty.
Already in the first year there is an intensive immersion in the profession. Students study advanced construction technologies used in the construction of residential, public and industrial buildings, learn to apply digital technologies in design, create 3D models of buildings and calculate them using modern computer software systems. Lectures are delivered by leading Russian scientists and RUDN University graduates, who are leaders in the construction industry in their countries. Students study a foreign language in the field of professional communication.
The educational process includes such disciplines as “Reinforced concrete structures”, “Metal structures”, “Building materials”, “Technology of erection of buildings and structures”, “Engineering systems of buildings and structures”, “Fundamentals of organization and management in construction”, “Technical -economic justification of construction”, “Construction mechanics”, “Fundamentals of engineering economics and management”, “Engineering support for construction”, “Structures made of wood and composite materials”, “Computer modeling of structural systems”, “Fire safety”, “Operation of housing and communal services ”, “Construction of roads and airfields”, “Hydraulics of structures”, “Digital modeling in construction”, etc.


The practice-oriented program is designed taking into account the requirements of real construction to the level of bachelor’s training and is updated annually. In the process of preparation, bachelors undergo practical training at construction sites, in design and research organizations, housing and communal services enterprises (The Research Center of Construction, Research Institute Of Building Constructions (TSNIISK) named after V. A. Koucherenko, “Gidrospetsproekt”, “VSOStroymekhanizatsiya”, “OlympCityStroy ”, etc.), as well as communicate with leading practitioners in the framework of scientific and methodological seminars, round tables and workshops.


As a result of mastering the program, students acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of construction necessary for further employment in a wide range of positions: foreman, technician, design engineer, design engineer, assistant to the chief project engineer, foreman, Production and Technical Department Engineer. Graduates are able to apply modern software systems for construction projects of buildings and structures, participate in the construction of building structures, organization of construction production, reconstruction and operation of buildings and structures.
Graduates can combine work in the construction industry with training in master’s programs with subsequent appointment to higher positions.
