Profession

The profession combines organizational, managerial and innovative activities. A specialist in the field of innovation management in the engineering business is engaged in the development and application of advanced methods of management and technological development in science-intensive, innovation-oriented industrial enterprises, has professional training in the field of economics, management, engineering, IT technologies.
This profession obliges to be a technically competent specialist and a highly qualified manager.

Educational Process

Students are immersed in the profession from the first months of study: they get acquainted with the specialty, modern information technologies, the principles of international activity, labor economics, marketing, master the basics of management, learn systemic economic thinking.
During the training, students study a wide range of disciplines:
— Fundamentals of engineering economics and management;
— World economy and international economic relations;
— Quality control;
— Technical means of automation and control;
— Innovation theory;
— Marketing;
— Modeling of control systems;
— Business planning.
The skills and abilities of students are formed through active and interactive teaching methods.
Classes are conducted by leading Russian and foreign teachers.
Students study a foreign language in the field of professional communication.

Practice

The program involves educational and industrial practices.
Practice bases are leading industrial enterprises and research centers of various industries, including:
— Scientific Research Institute “Polus” named after. M.F. Stelmakh (leading scientific center in the field of laser technologies);
— Mission Control Center “TsNIIMash” (the base space flight control center in Russia);
— UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in Russia.
Students are given the opportunity to undergo individual practice at a self-selected specialized enterprise.

Career

Graduates of the program are oriented to work as a specialist manager in innovation-oriented structures: science-intensive, high-tech companies, research organizations, in economic, financial, marketing and analytical services of companies of various industries and forms of ownership, in state and municipal authorities, in enterprises of the aerospace and defense industries, in educational organizations.
