The educational programme “Digital Economy” is comprehensive, cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary, it includes the study of such courses as “Fintech”, “E-commerce”, “Digital Markets”, “Management in the Context of Digitalization”, “Data Analysis”, “Pricing in the World Economy”, “Project Management”, “Digital Transformation of Business”, “Development of Law in the Digital Economy”, “Digital -marketing”. The education of an economist necessarily contains the study of such economic courses as “Macro- and microeconomics”, “Econometrics”, “Statistics”, “Accounting”, “Finance” and many others. The implementation of the Digital Economy programme is conducted with a partial use of distance and electronic education technologies (for master classes, open lectures, etc.).
This programme allows students to master the tools of rational and effective use of information resources, to study the features of strategic management and business processes organization in the field of digital economy. Such training will allow the graduate to realize himself as a specialist with a set of competencies in the field of general economics at the same time possessing skills and abilities in the subject area of digital economy. When preparing the programme, the needs of employers and experts in the field of digitalization were taken into account.
The advantage of applying for this programme is the opportunity to learn two foreign languages: English as part of the Complementary Educational Programme with the possibility to get a diploma of a translator or an international certificate, and a second foreign language of the student's choice (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese).
Educational Process

Practice
In accordance with the curriculum, students undergo the following types of internship: educational, work placement and pre-graduation one.
Educational internship is carried out at the Department of Economic and Mathematical Modeling and allows students to improve their skills in processing economic information.
Work placement and pre-graduation internships are carried out:
— in commercial banks;
— in currency and financial foreign economic activity divisions and departments of enterprises and organizations;
— at the Moscow Customs;
— in state bodies and public authorities;
— in international firms and organizations, as well as in the representative offices of the largest international companies;
— at the departments of research institutes.
Cooperation is carried out with state authorities and international companies, such as the Ministry of Economic Development, the Federal Customs Service, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Financial and Budgetary Supervision, PJSC Sberbank of Russia, Skolkovo, the Russian-Arab Business Center, the Russian-Emirates Business Center, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Russia BV, Deutsche Bank LLC, Citibank CJSC, Nestle Group of Companies.
Career
The scope of application of the competencies obtained in the learning process is quite wide because they are focused on the implementation of intersectoral and interdisciplinary approaches to the potential for the development of digital economy ecosystem; they are associated with the ability to build mechanisms for the efficient use of information resources and to modernize business processes in both the corporate and public sectors; they allow at various levels of management to model strategies and competitiveness on the basis of information systems, analysis and interpretation of data in a digital form, integration and understanding of the features of digital economy infrastructure development.
As a rule, the employment of graduates of bachelor’s programmes is carried out at the job levels corresponding to the established qualification level 6 (leading and senior specialist, specialist of 1 and 2 categories, coordinator, expert, consultant).
On completion the course graduates can work:
— in organizations that carry out control and supervisory functions in financial and economic activities;
— in consulting companies;
— in private enterprises;
— In international organizations;
— in information and analytical departments of companies engaged in the collection and processing of information on market conditions, production technologies;
— in investment, banking and credit organizations;
— in positions requiring higher economic education;
— in the processes of organizing various measures to improve the efficiency of financial, economic and managerial activities of enterprises in the context of digitalization of the economy;
— in academic and departmental research organizations engaged in theoretical and applied research;
— in educational institutions of higher and continuing professional education.
An economist with digital skills will be particularly in demand in the following areas:
— international and local business: transnational corporations, manufacturing companies, raw materials and extractive industries, trading companies, marketing services, analytical services, media;
— financial field: commercial and investment banks, insurance organizations, consulting companies, investment funds;
— state and municipal administration, education, medicine and others.
