Researchers in the field of ecology, environmental protection, and sustainable development, highly qualified specialists with deep theoretical training, broad erudition, and modern scientific methods. The most important areas of professional activity of program graduates are research and teaching.
As a result of mastering the program, postgraduates acquire the necessary competencies to prepare a final work on the chosen topic, submit and defend a dissertation for the candidate of science (PhD) degree, which allows graduates to specialize in the field of environmental-biological and biochemical research, various aspects of environmental management, monitoring, modeling. The program is implemented in cooperation with the University of Belarusian State University (Republic of Belarus, Minsk), which simultaneously gives the students opportunity to get acquainted with the foreign practice of modern environmental research and practical application of the results of breakthrough scientific research.

Educational Process

The three-year program involves training in the major disciplines of theoretical preparation, active in research activities under the guidance of the supervisor from the Russian side, the same from the part of the partner University and an active independent activity of the student. Research results should be presented in the Central scientific press and tested at specialized scientific conferences, forums, and symposiums. An important part of the postgraduate training program is pedagogical activity. Considerable attention is also paid to language training.

Practice

Within the framework of the program, postgraduates undergo research practice on the basis of research organizations, conduct research at a partner University.
Also an integral part of the practical block is the pedagogical internship implemented at the departments of the faculty of ecology.

Graduates of the program receive extensive training, which allows graduates to specialize in the field of ecological, biological and biochemical research, various aspects of environmental management, monitoring, modeling.
