The training is aimed at training specialists in the field of mathematical and computer modeling of complex technical objects and systems, the development of special software and mathematical support using modern information technologies (machine learning and neurotechnology, methods of processing big data) and high-level programming languages (C ++, Python ) to control complex technical systems in the interests of general mechanical engineering, aviation and space industries. The focus is on the problems of spacecraft flight control in near-earth space and the design of space missions to other planets and objects of the solar system, avoidance of collisions with space debris, solving transport problems of ensuring the functioning of long-term orbital stations, technical bases and settlements on the Moon and planets solar system, interpretation of Earth remote sensing data and development of geoinformation systems for various applications, other urgent tasks of modern astronautics.
Laboratory and practical work is carried out at the laboratory base, including the Space Flight Control Center, equipped with special software and hardware for the analysis and design of space missions, interpretation of Earth remote sensing data, including those obtained from the existing satellite data reception station. Practical skills are developed during field trips to enterprises of the space industry and academic institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences. A high level of mathematical training and computer modeling allows graduates to successfully work in government and commercial organizations in various sectors of the national economy.
