The Engineering Academy trains specialists for engineering support during the development of the Earth’s interior: in extraction of mineral resources, mining exploration, extraction and processing of solid minerals, and the development of oil and gas fields; in the construction, operation and liquidation of mining enterprises; in the construction and operation of underground facilities for various purposes and ground facilities that have an underground part; when constructing transport facilities and subways; at monitoring of a technical condition of various constructions and natural objects in the field of influence of deformation processes. Students get acquainted with methods of measuring objects in the depths of the Earth and on the Earth’s surface, geodetic and surveyor equipment at all stages of exploitation of interior part of the Earth and construction of underground structures, and master modern surveying and geodetic instruments, and carry out surveying work of mining.
