Professors of the Digital Pre-University Faculty teach more than 1000 foreign students annually. The unique school of methodology allows students to learn the language just in 9 months at a level sufficient not only for communication during everyday life, but also for studying at the leading Russian universities.

Prospects

Education at the Digital Pre-University Faculty is carried out in accordance with government standards and requirements in the field of preparing foreign citizens for admission to Russian universities. This means that after completion of the Basic course, the student will be able to enroll at any Russian university.

Not just studying

Social, linguistic and cultural adaptation is an important element of teaching foreign students. The program includes a module dedicated to geography, traditions, and peoples of Russia, visiting virtual tours to the best museums in Moscow and getting acquainted with the faculties and institutes of the RUDN University.

  • More convenient than on-campus

The main advantage of studying at the Digital Pre-University Faculty is the possibility to study the Russian language anywhere, in any part of the world. You only need a laptop or tablet with a microphone and Internet access to study.

  • Individual support

From application to graduation, each student is supported by project coordinators and tutors. Each student is assigned to a personal tutor who will answer any questions regarding the educational process at the Faculty.

  • Flexible timetable

Depending on how much time the student is ready to devote to classes daily, they can choose a program lasting from 6 months to 2 years. If the students are not yet interested to enroll at the university in Russia, they can study the modules they are interested in separately, for example, just the modules of the Russian language or several subject modules.

  • More profitable than in Russia

Studying online is almost twice as cheap as at the full-time pre-university faculty in Russia. At the same time, the quality of teaching and communication with a native speaker remain the same - students practice speaking skills with a Russian-speaking professor or tutor more than 12 hours every week.

  • Benefits for university admission

Having successfully completed the Basic course, the student receives a certificate confirming his language proficiency. If the student wants to enroll at the RUDN University, then he/she is eligible for a 10% discount of the tuition fees for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs, as well as for support in obtaining a study visa to Russia.

About the Faculty

The Digital Pre-University Faculty is an international model of educating foreign students under the programs of pre-university faculties of Russian universities and is implemented entirely using modern distance technologies. The project provides training in the Russian language and general education disciplines for international students for their later enrollment to higher education institutions without leaving their country of permanent residence.

Educational methods of the program are developed according to national and regional features and take into account native language of the students as well as the ICT development index (index of development of information and communication technologies) in the country of residence of students.

The educational process is conducted entirely through a digital platform. The format of the project execution allows to make education much more flexible for the student:

  • the duration of the basic course varies from 6 months to 2 years;
  • the student can take modules separately.
  • enrollment is carried out throughout the year.

During the studies, students receive constant support from experienced professors and tutors of the RUDN University in the form of video consultations, as well as online and offline chat in Russian and in the intermediary language. Every week, students communicate with native speakers both in groups and individually for more than 12 hours.

The partners of the Digital Pre-University Faculty help to implement the faculty programmes in the CIS countries, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
