About the event

20 -26, May, 2019 the S.M. Nikol’skii Mathematical Institute  will organize  a series of lectures by professor Hans-Otto Walther. Dr. H.-O. Walther (Mathematical Institute, the Giessen University, Germany) is an internationally well-known expert in the field of functional differential equations.

The scientific interests of professor  Walther include the following areas: oscillating solutions to functional differential equations, hyperbolicity and stability of periodic solutions to functional differential equations, state-dependent functional differential equations, applications of functional differential equations  to medicine.
Dr. H.-O. Walther collaborate with the Mathematical Institute for many years. His visit is organized in the frame of the project under the German-Russian Interdisciplinary Science Center (G-RISC).

The schedule of the lectures is following:

  1. “Introduction to delay differential equations “, May 21, 12:00 - 13:30, room 398.
  2. “Modelling transcription and translation in bioprotein synthesis with state-dependent delays”, May 21, 13:40 - 15:10, room  398.
  3. “Model behaviour “, May 23,  16:30 - 18:00, room  398.
