About the event

An international school for entrants to the master programs “Landscape design and creative” will take place in the Agrarian and Technological Institute of RUDN University in March 23-25, 2020.

The aim of the school is to improve the theoretical and practice skills by effective studying of landscape architecture, urbanization and development of "green" areas.

The urgency of the school is conditioned by the needs of “smart” landscape architecture in the world and the needs of comfortable urban environment. We want to popularize landscape architecture in the world.

Famous scientists from RUDN University, the University of Tushia (Italy), representatives of All-Russian Public Organization "City Renovations" and "Architect" news agency, also scientists of the laboratory "Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the global change" will take part in school.

RUDN University and the University of Tushia (Italy) have double master program "Management and design of urban green infrastructure" through the project of transnational cooperation envisaged by the Program for Increasing Competitiveness "5-100".

The first day of the school's work will be devoted to speeches on topical problems of landscape architecture, urbanization, urban planning,  to the formation of urban ecosystems as an object of landscape design and ecological design, and green infrastructure as a tool for creating a comfortable and environmentally sustainable urban environment.

Such famous scientists as Nobel laureate of 2007 in the IPCC, Professor of the University of Tushia (Italy), head of the laboratory "Smart technologies for sustainable development of the urban environment in the global change." Riccardo Valentini, and other scientists from Russia and Italy will make an open lectures.

Besides, students of the school, as well as graduates of the program of double diplomas "Management and design of urban green infrastructure" will make presentations on the topical issues of the development of "green" technologies in the modern city.

The next day a practical lesson called "Megapolis 2.0" will be organized for participants of the school. It will take place on the territory of the RUDN University. The participants of the school will be able to show themselves on the creative side, perform various graphic assignments, and they will receive a master class on the landscape-architectural composition from the architect Tatyana Zhukova.

On the final day of work, it is planned to hold an interdisciplinary round table together with representatives of the All-Russian public organization “City Renovations”, where young architects, urbanists, designers, sociologists and managers will be able to share their experience in the field of landscape design of a modern metropolis.

Also, on the final day the results of the school will be summed up, the ceremony of awarding for the best drawing and the best report will be held, and an excursion around the territory of the RUDN University will be conducted for all comers.

All students will receive memorable certificates.
