The meeting will provide a forum for discussions and exchange of new ideas, perspectives and recent developments in the broad field of Modern Analysis.

The topics to be addressed include (but not restricted to):

  •  Complex and Harmonic Analysis;
  •  Partial Differential Equation;
  • Operator Theory and Nonlinear Analysis;
  •  Quasiconformal Mappings and Geometry.

Vladimir Maz'ya is an outstanding mathematician who has strongly influenced the development of mathematical analysis and the theory of partial differential equations and has been hailed as "one of the most distinguished analysts of our time." He is the author or coauthor of some 40 monographs and 500 research papers.

 Professor Maz’ya was the first recipient of the "Young Mathematician" prize of the Leningrad Mathematical Society (1962). Subsequent honors include the Humboldt Prize (1999), the Verdaguer Prize of the French Academy of Sciences (2003), the Celsius Gold Medal of the Royal Society of Sciences in Uppsala (2004), and the Senior Whitehead Prize of the London Mathematical Society (2009).

 Maz’ya is an elected member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (2000) and the Swedish Academy of Science (2002), a foreign member of the Georgian National Academy of Science (2013), and an Inaugural Fellow of the American Mathematical Society (2012).
