The Department of Social Pedagogy of the Institute of Foreign Languages of RUDN University holds the regular meeting of the scientific and methodological seminar “Topical Issues of Social Pedagogy, Psychology and Management of Developing the Human Resources of Society (Social Management)”. Alina S. Zagrebelnaya, PhD Student of the Department of Foreign Languages in Theory and Practice, English teacher will make a report on the topic “The strategies and tactics of romantic person’s communicative behaviour. Modern attitude towards romantic person”.
The speaker considers the issue of the strategies and tactics of a romantic communicative personality in situations of romantic communication in Russian and English linguistic cultures. During the seminar, such concepts as "romantic discourse", "discursive strategy" and "discursive tactics" are revealed, which are directly related to the issue of verbalization of the internal intentions of the participants in communication. It is shown that romantic communication in Russian and English linguocultures is characterized by the use of certain strategies and tactics of a romantic communicative personality, which are implemented at the linguistic level in situations of romantic communication. Their use is predetermined by certain motives that can be demonstrated in their speech. Therefore, Alina Zagrebelnaya highlights the most frequent discursive strategies and tactics of a romantic communicative personality, which were identified through the analyzed situations of romantic communication in Russian and English linguistic cultures in order to better understanding those discursive strategies and tactics that are typical for them.
