Seminar “Modification and functionalization of biomaterials via multicomponent reactions: Investigation of their efficiency in biomedical platforms”
On 15 December at 11:00 a.m. (Moscow time)
A scientific seminar “Modification and functionalization of biomaterials via multicomponent reactions: Investigation of their efficiency in biomedical platforms” will be held at RUDN University.
Speaker: Ahmad Shaabani, Shahid Beheshti University, Iran, Research Institute of chemistry RUDN University, Russia.
In various physiological and biological functions, bioactive materials as a key technique or procedure hold promise for the achievement of therapeutic effects in animals or humans. Recently, due to the outstanding features of biomaterials, more attention has been concerned to their applications in industry and medicine. Interesting merit in the biomedical field is the emergence of a neoteric strategy for the functionalization of materials. In this presentation, the multicomponent reactions strategies are deliberated in the modification and functionalization of biomaterials, i.e., citric acid, cellulose, and gelatin, for the construction of potential antibacterial materials, and as well as oral, injectable, and implantable drug carriers.
Participants: students, postgraduates and scientific-pedagogical workers of the faculty of Sciences of RUDN and other Universities
