Seminar “Sodium-ion batteries — from the history of creation, solving scientific problems and development of electric vehicles”

Annotation. The technology of metal-ion batteries will be discussed, where much attention will be paid to the development of sodium-ion batteries. For successful commercialization of sodium-ion batteries, several issues need to be addressed, and one of them is the search for suitable materials with satisfactory electrochemical characteristics.

Part of the presentation will be devoted to the main theoretical aspects of a metal-ion battery with the classifications of cathode and anode materials and electrolyte. Furthermore, anode materials especially carbon materials for sodium-ion batteries will be considered along with electrochemical characteristics and other physicochemical properties.
