Speaker: Kovalenko Ilya Borisovich, leading researcher of Problem laboratory of space biology of Biological faculty of MSU.
Topic: Supercomputer modelling in biology and medicine.
Methods of Brownian and molecular dynamics, widely used for computer simulation of biological molecules and their interactions, will be considered. Application of these methods for solving problems in biology and medicine will be demonstrated on examples of protein interaction, study of properties of tubulin proteins and microtubules consisting of them, and interaction of molecules of antimicrobial agents with the cell walls of gram-negative bacteria.
