21 February, RUDN hosted an on-line meeting of the International Expert Council where Rector Filippov presented draft report on the realization of «5-100» academic excellence program in 2016.
The task at the Annual Michael Thorsnes International Arbitration Pre-Moot Competition in San-Diego is to convince the jury that a certain stance can be accepted in arbitration. RUDN team was very successful and got the 5th place.

15 February, RUDN Department of applied computer science and relativity theory held Scientific inter-university seminar “Modern telecommunications and mathematic theory of teletraffic” together with Moscow Technical university of communication and computer science, RAS Institute of information transfer n.a.A.Kharkevich and Tomsk State university aimed at promoting research and developing research potential in planning and analyzing telecommunication systems quality. Participants discussed scientific issues, research results and related theses.
14-16 February, RUDN Institute of Oriental medicine hosted international symposium “Vitaktiva – Fito”. On the agenda – discussions of phytotherapy, natural and cultured ginseng, features and application of cedar, silajit, artichoke and amaranth.
A new mission, a new slogan, a new logotype.The renovated brand is entering the foreign market. RUDN University is a modern university, which has maintained long-standing traditions and reached new frontiers.
Damir Shafigulin, a post graduate student of an Agro-Technological Faculty of RUDN University, decided to do innovative business. Soya is one of the most ancient cultivated plants. The cultivation of soya was mentioned in the early Chinese literature (3000-4000 BC). Nowadays, different products, from dairy products to meat, are made from this plant.
Before the festive gala night Rector Filippov met representatives of diplomatic nissions to present a new brand, positioning strategy and standards in the international market. An unusual flash mob was organized – the guests could send greetings to friends all over the world signing special postcards. After February 17, RUDN will send 10,000 postcards to all the countries of the world.
10 February, RUDN IFL hosts a meeting devoted to the Day of diplomatic worker – a professional holiday for graduates, academics and students of «European Studies» and «Linguistics» lines of study.

February 8, press conference «RUDN – discover the whole world in one university» took place in «Russia Today» IIA. On the Day of Russian Science RUDN presented new approaches to university positioning, a new brand and strategic initiatives implementation results.
