“Natural Sciences”, “Life Sciences” and “Medicine and Health” of RUDN University are among the best in the world
In the subject rankings of THE RUDN University this year is in the following positions:
- “Natural Sciences” — 301-400
- “Life Sciences” — 501-600
- “Medicine” — 601+
The ranking assesses 13 performance indicators in 5 categories: “Teaching”, “Research”, “Citation”, “International outlook” and “Income from industry”.
In “Natural Sciences”, RUDN University has improved its positions by 200 points during one year. This was due to a significant increase in “Research reputation”, as well as the maximum score on the indicator “Number of publications per one faculty member” (74 points). The university showedpositive dynamics in 12 indicators.
In “Life Sciences”, the university was ranked among the best in the world in terms of the share of international students (96 points) and the share of foreign faculty members (72.6 points). RUDN University also showed positive dynamics in terms of “Ratio of applicants who defended PhD and doctoral dissertations, and the number of academic staff”, “Number of publications per academic staff member” and “Share of foreign academic staff”.
In “Medicine”, RUDN University scored the maximum number of points in terms of “Share of international students” (99.7 points), “Ratio of applicants who defended PhD and doctoral dissertations, and the number of academic staff” (94.6 points). There is also a positive trend in terms of reputation indicators.

RUDN University employees’ work and contribution to the development of the university cannot go unappreciated. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia recognizes talented university employees and present them with various departmental and state awards.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
