RUDN Formula student is going to ”Smartmoto Challenge” electric bike championship.

10 RUDN University students from Formula Student take part in Smartmoto Challenge projects in Barcelona 5 - 11 July, 2016. The bikes are built by engineering students. The first championship was organized by Barcelona Higher School and Elmoto company in 2013. Since 2014 the competitions have been held in Russia as well. The project allows bike manufacturers to get new ideas and additional staff with work experience. The students work together as a team, make a business plan, design and make Formula class bolide prototype and present it to the Jury of engineers and managers of the leading car manufacturers. In the final of the contest the students participate in a race held once a year in the USA, Germany, Italy, Great Britain< Australia, Austria and Japan.

RUDN Formula Student team was created in 2011. During this short period of time a small workshop turned into an international center allowing students to work with the latest software and make a real product. It’s a site where students do research and prepare for participation in conferences. 

RUDN team participated in the finals in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 being chosen from hundreds of teams around the world.
