RUDN university Olympiad – chance for foreign students to get tuition-free education

Students from 154 countries study at the most famous multi-national university of Russia. Today the main task of RUDN university is to attract talented youth from all over the world rather than to increase the number of foreign students. Annually 15000 students from around the world get scholarships from the Russian Government

Students from 154 countries study at the most famous multi-national university of Russia. Today the main task of RUDN university is to attract talented youth from all over the world rather than to increase the number of foreign students. Annually 15000 students from around the world get scholarships from the Russian Government. There is another alternative way to study on the budgetary basis: to participate in the Olympiad and prove that you are the worthiest one.

In 2016 RUDN university held 27 Olympiads in 6 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, the Russian Language, Jurisprudence/Social science; they were held in Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Colombia, Peru, Senegal, Ecuador. The greatest number of the Olympiads took were held in Ecuador and Senegal. The most popular Olympiads in Physics and Mathematics took place in all the listed countries.

"At first young people are afraid and nervous, but when they see that the text is in their native language, that everybody treats them kindly, that the prize-winner has an opportunity to acquire tuition-free study at our university, they calm down" - the Vice Rector on international academic mobility Larisa Efremova stated.

The Olympiads are held in 6 languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese and French.

The Olympiad movement of RUDN university is not only a way to find applicants who master the curriculum well, but also to attract the best of the best. The professors of RUDN worked out 2 sets of tests. The first one aims at assessing the basic level of applicants’ knowledge, the second one aims at assessing applicants’ wit, intellect and creative approach to finding solutions.

In order to become a first-year student of bachelor’s course or a specialist’s program, an applicant has to fulfill a number of tasks in general subjects. If an applicant enters masters’ course he has to take exams in special subjects.

38 winners have already become students of RUDN university, among them there are future lawyers, ecologists, agronomists and engineers.

Winners of grant projects "BE MASTER" and "PROJECT YOURSELF"

Winners of the “BE MASTER” and “PROJECT YOURSELF” grant projects will receive certificates for 100,000 and 130,000 rubles. Foreign graduates from Ghana, Zambia, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Nigeria, Peru, Syria, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will start their studies at RUDN University.

Take part in the II Online RUDN University Olympiad for foreign citizens

Starting from August 10, the second Online RUDN University Olympiad is held for foreign citizens wishing to enroll in 2020 to study at RUDN University under the bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s programs. The winners of the Olympiad can study in the chosen major at the expense of the budget of the Russian Federation, prize-winners get a tuition discount.

“BE MASTER!” and “PROJECT YOURSELF!” - get a grant for Master studies

RUDN University allocates 20 million rubles to support talented international students. RUDN University will provide 190 grants to international students for Master studies. Foreign graduates of Bachelor, Specialist and Master programs can participate in “BE MASTER!” and "PROJECT YOURSELF!’ projects and get 100,000 — 130,000 rubles certificates to be used for tuition. The winners will be determined on 10 october.
