Learning Russian is easier: RUDN and MTS launch an online platform

RUDN and MTS announce the launch of an online platform for learning Russian as a foreign language. Choose the Russian you need. Choose Smart-RUS.com

The educational part of the project was developed by RUDN University academics:

  • Exam Russian (for university applicants);
  • Business Russian (for career);
  • Native Russian (for emigrants);
  • Intensive Russian (for students);
  • Modern Russian (for travel);
  • Easy Russian (for children);
  • Professional Russian (for specialists);
  • Literary Russian (for readers);
  • School Russian (for secondary school students);
  • Polite Russian (for little aesthetes);
  • Practical Russian (for employees);
  • Virtual Russian (for Internet users), etc.

The platform is intended for adults and children, who study Russian to prepare for exams, use the language in professional and business environment, communicate online, and other purposes.

The learning path is built by software algorithms depending on the proficiency level and needs of the student. Tests, simulators, audio and video content, as well as musical materials from the MTS Music service are integrated into interactive lessons. You can study at any type of device using the website or downloading the iOS and Android app (beta versions are available).

A modern interactive platform and a clear mobile application allow you to practice wherever is convenient: at home, in a cafe, in a park, or on the way to work. You can choose a convenient time for classes and your own shade of Russian from the multifaceted palette of courses.

The personal training program for each student in the applications and on the website is built by a special algorithm based on the proficiency level and learning goals.

“Long before the pandemic, RUDN University began to develop distance education, elaborating a large number of applied electronic and digital courses in Russian as a foreign language, and today it was completely ready for new challenges and the transition to educational smart technologies”, said Anzhela Dolzhikova, RUDN First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector for Educational Activities.

“In 2020, when the need for high-quality online training services had increased dramatically, MTS began developing a platform that can programmatically build an individual learning path for each student. Combining the IT resources of MTS and the many years of experience of RUDN University teachers and methodologists helped create a product that will be useful to thousands of people around the world. I believe that teaching the Russian language together with the leading university of the country has become one of the most interesting solutions for the development of the educational direction of the company ”, said Vassily Aleksutkin, project manager of Smart Rus.
