RUDN University – operator of the All-Russia secondary school students Olympics

RUDN University has become an operator of one of the most famous and prestigious educational Olympics in Russia.

Olympics started in Russia 300 years ago and today the urge to find and educate talented children is especially pressing. The All-Russia Olympics has been held since 1965, 6 million students from all over Russia taking part. It is traditionally held in 24 subjects from 1 September till 30 April, in 4 stages: local (school), municipal, regional and final.

In 2018, Peoples’ friendship university of Russia became the chief coordinator of this Olympics. RUDN academics will act as experts and independent examiners at the competitions. The final stage starts 20 March, in 15 Russian cities and towns. The winners of the Olympics will form teams of the RF to participate in international intellectual contests.

On November 23, 2022, Chev. Prof. Mario Pace, (Ph.D. (Melit), Associate Professor, Head of the Department, Languages and Humanities Education, Faculty of Education, University of Malta, language consultant to the Minister of Education) gave lecture entitled “Languages and Translation in the Context of Intercultural Communication” within the framework of the academic and methodological online seminar of the Foreign Languages Department of the Agrarian and Technological Institute of RUDN University held via MS Teams. The event attracted an audience of more than 80 guests.
