RUDN University students of economics take first places at the competition of student startups "Business Generation – 2023" in Belarus
The contest featured live dialogues, discussions and projects on the topics of promising business areas. The participants presented their work both in the “traditional” areas, such as food, education and production, and in innovative, high-tech ones, which affect collecting and processing municipal household waste, the use of modern financial instruments and IT technologies.
1st place. Project “Student Center for Educational and Leisure Services”
Team: Uliana Klochkova (team leader), Yesenia Nikitina, Anastasia Roshchupkina, Stanislav Timonin.
“We were very glad not only to participate in the competition, but also to visit Brest. The trip to the competition was a little journey for us. At the conference, university teams presented different projects, we noticed a lot of original ideas from other participants. The format of the competition gave participants an opportunity to exchange views and share advice on topics that each specific startup raised. It was a valuable experience that will help us in preparing for other projects,” said Uliana Klochkova.
Nomination “Best in Business Controversy”. Project “Camping Tourism — New Opportunities”
Team: Timofey Pekhov (team leader), Anton Goryunov, Anastasia Proshina, Maria Semenova.
“We did the project from scratch. Initially, we thought that we would limit ourselves to camping, but as a result, we made it more comprehensive and financially profitable by renting out sup-boards and selling additional goods and services. It was the first time I participated in a student conference in another country, I really liked this format. In Belarus, we visited historical museums and cultural centers. Such trips motivate to study harder and participate in other projects. We are very pleased that we became the winners in the nomination “Best in Business Controversy”. The effort and time invested in the study of the project really justified itself. Together with the team, we set a goal for the next year — to go to the conference to win in the nomination “Best Startup Project”, said Timofey Pekhov.
On April 25-26, RUDN University hosted the Moscow qualifying stage of the XIV All-Russian “Chinese Bridge” Competition. One of the most prestigious contests brought together 288 Moscow schoolchildren, who demonstrated their knowledge of Chinese language, culture and traditions.
The university keeps warm memories of its graduates and the time when they studied and built their future at RUDN University. Today, for their children and grandchildren, the university offers its best Russian language courses completely free of charge.
One of the main questions that concerns students at any university is how to gain their first professional experience before completing their studies. At RUDN University, this process is structured systematically, from choosing an internship to potential employment opportunities.
