Geology and space, medicine and remote sensing of the earth... RUDN develops cooperation with universities and corporations in Tanzania

RUDN University delegation came to Tanzania on a working visit: they represented the university at educational exhibitions, held open Olympiads, met with the leadership of leading universities and potential industrial partners.

Meetings were also held with representatives of four leading universities in Tanzania: Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology, Dar es Salaam University, Dar es Salaam Medical Institute and Dar es Salaam Open University.

RUDN University held open Olympiads on the basis of the Institute of Technology and the University of Dar es Salaam, Open Olympiads were also organized.

“RUDN has been holding the Olympiad for foreign applicants since 2016. 15,000 citizens from 131 countries have already participated in it, 933 people becoming winners and prize-winners. Most of the winners are from African countries. The Olympiad gives foreign citizens the opportunity to study in Russia at one of the best universities in the world,” said Larisa Efremova, Vice-Rector for International Affairs.

The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology has identified space technology and remote sensing of the earth as key areas of cooperation with RUDN.

RUDN University delegation met with representatives of “STAMICO GEOLOGICAL CORPORATION” and discussed the details of interaction with this potential industrial partner.

RUDN was represented at the Education in Russia exhibitions and at BAOBAB SEC SCHOOL. Over 300 schoolchildren and students visited the stand of the university during three days. Applicants learned about the admission rules and study opportunities at RUDN University. Of particular interest are the programs of the specialty “Medicine” and master’s programs of the Engineering Academy, the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

  • Alexander Kotelnikov, Director of the Department of Subsoil Use and Oil and Gas Business;
  • Masamba Kah, expert of the department for the development of international project activities;
  • Anastasios Dranidis, Head of International Projects and Programs, Engineering Academy;
  • Petr Starlone, 3rd year student at the Institute of Medicine.

A Century of Friendship: RUDN University celebrates the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia

In RUDN’s main building, Russian speech has mixed with Arabic and strict business suits with national attire. The reason for this is the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The university hosted a large-scale event “The Century of Friendship, Cultural and Scientific Exchange between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation”, which brought together diplomats, scientists, rectors of leading universities, and students.

RUDN University and Xi'an Jiaotong University signs a memorandum on the establishment of an International Scientific Center for Mathematics

RUDN University delegation, led by the university's president Vladimir Filippov, paid an important official visit to China. The central events of the business visit were signing of a memorandum on the establishment of an International Scientific Center for Mathematics within the framework of the SCO University and awarding the title of Honorary Professor of Xi'an Jiaotong University to Vladimir Filippov. RUDN University also presented its educational potential at a world-class University Forum and a specialized exhibition.

From April 16 to 19, Casablanca hosted one of the largest international education exhibitions, where over 200 educational institutions from 40 countries presented their academic opportunities to young people from Morocco and other African countries.
