RUDN is expanding borders. An agreement on joint doctoral research supervision signed with the Lebanese State University
28 June, RUDN Rector signed an agreement on joint doctoral research supervision with the Lebanese State University. Research concerns engineering, agrarian, medical, humanitarian and social sciences.
«It is not only research that is important, we would also like to cooperate in applied spheres like interpreting from Russian into Arabic. We train conference interpreters in many languages but we do not have Russian», said Rector of the Lebanese University.
Larisa Efremova, RUDN Vice-Rector said that RUDN is ready to implement dual-degree programs and send professors to the Lebanese University for teaching special modules and lecturing adding that she hopes to start in September.
The Lebanese State University is the only university in Lebanon founded by the government. It has 19 faculties, and half Lebanese students study there.
In 2016, 18 students came to RUDN summer school, while this year 50 students are studying at the Agrarian and Technological Institute.
RUDN University welcomed a delegation of three Municipal Assemblies of the Republic of Ghana - Korle Klottey, La Dade-Kotopon and Ledzokuku. At the meeting the parties discussed the results of the educational school “Solid Waste Management and Circular Economy”, held at the Institute of Ecology of RUDN University this year.
The BRICS Network University International Governing Board is the main coordinating body of the educational consortium. Russia is chairing BRICS in 2024. The event took place in the run-up to the meeting of the Ministers of Education of the countries of the association. The meeting is to take place in Kazan on 11 June.
May 20, RUDN received a delegation from Nizwa University, one of the leading educational and scientific institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.
