The students organized an exhibition of the fraternity, introducing the guests to national dances, treating them to Algerian coffee, Arabic sweets and talked about the culture and history of the people of the country. The week ended with a futsal tournament.
The annual meeting of the National Coordination Committee of the BRICS Network University with representatives of universities participating in the educational consortium was held at RUDN University. Landfills are the third largest source of anthropogenic methane in the world. They account for ~11% of estimated global emissions. Methane is 80 times more powerful than carbon dioxide and is the second largest driver of man-made climate change. Scientists from around the world met at Zhejiang University's Hangzhou campus to determine the best available technologies for recovering energy and materials from non-recyclable residual waste.
In 2023, the Public Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science conducted an independent assessment of the quality of conditions for educational activities. More than 300 universities and branches provided information on the quality of education.
December 13, RUDN Institute of the Russian Language opened the Center for Russian Language and Culture “Russian Space” at the University of Arts and Humanities of Bamako (Republic of Mali).
November 19–25, RUDN University hosted Days of Culture days for students from Lebanon. This year the events were held in honor of the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Lebanese Republic. More than 650 students from different countries took part in the festivity: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Sudan and Tunisia.
The university summed up the results of the main volunteer contest “RUDN University Volunteer of the Year”. The winners were 6 students from 4 countries.
December 15, Minsk hosted the IX International Student Olympiad in Human Anatomy. It was attended by 9 teams from Russia and Belarus. Students of RUDN took two 3rd places in the theoretical and practical rounds.
