November 19–25, RUDN University hosted Days of Culture days for students from Lebanon. This year the events were held in honor of the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Lebanese Republic. More than 650 students from different countries took part in the festivity: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Sudan and Tunisia.
The university summed up the results of the main volunteer contest “RUDN University Volunteer of the Year”. The winners were 6 students from 4 countries.
December 15, Minsk hosted the IX International Student Olympiad in Human Anatomy. It was attended by 9 teams from Russia and Belarus. Students of RUDN took two 3rd places in the theoretical and practical rounds.
November 26 to December 2, Days of Yemeni Student Culture took place at RUDN University. The events were attended by over 650 students from various countries including Libya, Bahrain, Yemen, Sudan, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, and others.
The 59th Meeting of the international student construction brigade “Meridian of Friendship” has ended at RUDN University. This year, 250 students from 85 countries of the world joined the brigade. Veterans and participants in the movement of Moscow construction brigades gathered to award the best with the honorary badge “International Building Brigade Shockworker” and close the third working semester.
The conference “Political Science in a Changing World: New Practices and Theoretical Search”* started out at RUDN University. More than 600 political scientists from Venezuela, Egypt, Finland, Chad, Sweden and 20 other countries present scientific solutions to the challenges a globalizing society is facing. There are more than 70 events on the agenda of the conference organized by the Russian Political Science Association (RPSA).
Tamara Ghazaryan is known to many at RUDN University. She “races,” as she herself says, around the university, participates in a dozen student events and can get to almost every location herself. Only a few locations need the help of her friends or team. But it was not always so.
Musa Gerald from Zambia is studying at the postgraduate school of RUDN Institute of Medicine in the program "Nervous Diseases and Neurosurgery". He has attended more than 50 conferences and published 20 scientific articles during his studies. He works and helps medical students in Russia and Zambia. November 22, the RUDN delegation participated in the project “Education in Russia. Your key to success”, uniting 47 leading universities in Russia. The project was organized by the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus.
November 20, RUDN hosted the annual meeting of the Coordination Council of the CIS Network University. Participants assessed the results of the admissions campaign for joint educational programs, outlining the prospects for future collaborations. It was also proposed to establish an association for the CIS Network University graduates.
The scientific and practical conference “Expanding Boundaries” was held at RUDN Faculty of Philology. 123 postgraduate students from Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia and Russia spoke at round tables about their dissertations and theoretical and practical problems they face in their research.
