As part of the international cooperation between BRICS partner universities, a scientific seminar "Modern Environmental Studies" will be held. The organizers are the Institute of Environmental Engineering, RUDN University and the Polytechnic School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
The scientific seminar is aimed at establishing academic ties, as well as creating a dialogue platform for the exchange of modern approaches and developments in the field of environmental protection.
The seminar will bring together leading scientists to discuss a number of issues related to the following important areas:
- environmental safety in the oil and gas industry,
- integrated waste management,
- circular economy,
- water resources management,
- wastewater treatment,
- urban sustainable development ,
- sustainable agriculture, etc.
Brief information about the co-organizer
The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro is the largest public university in Brazil. The QS World University Rankings named the University of Rio de Janeiro the best federal university in the country and seventh in Latin America.
