International financial capital and economic policies of Latin American countries in the context of globalization

The dissertation provides an assessment of the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of globalization processes in the world on the basis of a study of its system-forming factor - international financial capital, a comprehensive analysis of the features of globalization processes (through the prism of advantages, problem areas, opportunities and threats), both in general and in the example of countries Latin America. The research also contains the main parameters of a new paradigm for the development of Latin American countries based on strengthening the institutional system of the social state, reviewing the strategy for their inclusion in the world economy, participation in regional economic integration, fixing the factors for increasing economic growth on the basis of competitive advantages obtained during the industrial stage of development of many countries of Latin America.

International production in Russia: features, trends, prospects

The dissertation outlines the concept of evolutionary forms of international production development and on this basis identifies forms of international production developing in Russia. The terminological relationship between the notions of "international production", "transnational corporations" and "foreign direct investment" is revealed. Authors classification of indicators of the international production is offered, author's systematization of existing approaches to the analysis of the international production and evolution of modern concepts of the international production is developed. The peculiarities of production links in cross-border value chains have been revealed. The characteristics of the flows of foreign direct investment in Russia by countries of origin and by industry are given, the positions of foreign TNCs in the oil and gas, retail and automotive sectors of Russia are estimated. The main factors and effects of the formation of international production in Russia are singled out. The key directions of FDI policy in Russia are outlined, and incentive actions to attract FDI in specific sectors of the Russian economy are proposed.

Russia in the world gas market: the problem of consumer diversification

The study substantiates approaches to the state's consistent external energy strategy, systematizes knowledge of the phenomenon of energy globalization and its impact on changing the concept of ensuring energy security. The process of formation of the global gas market has been studied, manifestations of asymmetry of interests of gas producers and consumers have been determined. The main vectors of Gazprom's external economic strategy in the European and world gas markets are identified.

Expansion of international banking capital in emerging markets

The study carried out a multifactor analysis of the results of the expansion of international banking capital in emerging markets; the opportunities for applying the experience of these countries in modern Russia were revealed. A complex analysis of the processes of financial globalization, trends in the development of world financial institutions, world financial markets, and world financial resources was carried out. Factors and effects from the presence of foreign banking capital in emerging markets have been identified. The necessity of forming a new concept for the development of the banking system of Russia is substantiated.

Problems of subregional inter-Arab economic integration in the context of globalization

The study analyzes the socio-economic development of the Arab states of MENA and their cooperation over a 30-year period, identifies factors contributing to the subregional economic integration of the Arab countries. Changes in the theoretical concept of international (regional) economic integration and its transformation in developing countries (MENA) are revealed, external (global) and internal factors of integration in MENA region are formulated, the evolution of economic interaction of MENA countries since 1980 and the necessity and profitability of integration in the region are analyzed. It was determined that the Arab integration should be viewed in three dimensions: an Arab integration within the framework of the Arab League, inter-state subregional economic blocs, joint Arab projects. The concept of trade-economic and monetary-financial cooperation between the Russian Federation and the SABI countries is proposed.

Competitive advantages of foreign automakers and their use in the formation of the strategy of automobile manufacture in Russia

In the dissertation the analysis of development of the world automobile industry in conditions of globalization is made, competitive advantages of automobile industry are formulated. The investment attractiveness of Russia for foreign car manufacturers has been determined, and the economic policy of the Russian Federation in the automotive industry has been assessed. Approaches to improving economic policy in the development of the automobile industry are suggested, methods to increase the investment attractiveness of the Russian car industry and the optimal timing of measures to develop the Russian automotive industry are developed.
