This dissertation analyses the methodological possibilities of using the course management system Moodle as a computer-based instructional tool in the study of Russian as a foreign language in the new blended e-learning educational environment. It describes the content and technological possibilities of applying information technology to language learning in order to improve effectiveness. It makes reference to the organization of courses at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Political Sciences, within the e-project “Russian Language on Moodle” using the author’s multimedia courses “Kraski-A1” and “Kraski-A2”. E-learning of Russian as a foreign language on Moodle is presented as a new form of learning and teaching in which a more active student-teacher interaction and student-student interaction intensifies the development of the student’s communicative competence outside the language learning environment. It shows the forms of communication in the new educational environment (e.g. forums and blogs) in the age of Web 2/0 that encourages the improvement of the students’ language skills and proficiency in written communication.

This dissertation is devoted to issues related to psychological support of cultural adaptation of foreign students. There is a substantial characteristic of the support as a professional activity favoring to successful socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students, aimed at activating of resource group aggregation (personal, institutional, environmental). Features of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students in the modern higher school of Russia are gived out. There is a pedagogical program developed to ensure integrity of foreign students’ sociocultural adaptation supporting. Effectiveness of this program performing in university was experimentally confirmed via increased adaptation level among the 124 foreign students enrolled in RUDN (RUDN university). Results of this research could be used by high school teachers when developing lecture and practical materials on adaptation problems; individual and group consultations for foreign students; methodical recommendations for university staff. Because it’s reflected the content of pedagogical technologies and contributed to the successful socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students in a different socio-cultural environment.

The dissertation addresses problems concerning pedagogic legacy of moral development in pre-teens and teens. This work covers legacy content of moral development in pre-teens and teens as a pedagogical process that consists of structural and functional elements as well as factors of its most effective pedagogical support. The present work defines essential features of moral values in modern environment as well as relevant characteristics of the discussed age group. There are pedagogical technologies providing the integrity of the process of moral development in pre-teens and teens. The efficiency of developed programs focused on assessing activities of pre-teens and teens is experimentally proved. The results of the research can be used by high school teachers for preparing lectures and practical classes about problems of the oncoming generation’s moral development in the context of the modernization of Russian Education System as well as for making methodical recommendations for homeroom teachers, mentors and educational specialists that reflect basics of pedagogical technologies providing successful development of moral values in pre-teens and teens.

The thesis determines the components of self-organization of educational activities for high school students taking an in-depth course in certain disciplines. It also proposes a teaching content, which enables students to organize their educational activities by themselves (elective course “Fundamentals of self-organization of educational activities”). In the research, the author presents an algorithm concerning the interaction between teachers and students within self-organization of students’ educational activities. The experiment has confirmed pedagogical effectiveness of the proposed model for shaping the subjectivity of high school students taking an in-depth course in certain disciplines within comprehensive education.

The paper reveals the historical and cultural originality of the national decorative and applied arts of the Udmurt Republic, along with their teaching and mind-shaping potential. The research also substantiates pedagogical conditions for the development of teenage schoolchildren in the process of studying and mastering folk arts and crafts. Besides, the author developed a complex programme for general education institutions, including an elective course and a course dedicated to studying folk arts and crafts at the inter-subject level. The experiment confirmed the effectiveness of the theoretical model and the enriched technology concerning teenage schoolchildren diversified development within studying and mastering decorative and applied folk arts.
