The practical application of Distance Learning based on the teaching experience of Russian in an Italian classroom (using the author’s multimedia courses “Kraski-A1” and “Kraski-A2”)

This dissertation analyses the methodological possibilities of using the course management system Moodle as a computer-based instructional tool in the study of Russian as a foreign language in the new blended e-learning educational environment. It describes the content and technological possibilities of applying information technology to language learning in order to improve effectiveness. It makes reference to the organization of courses at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Political Sciences, within the e-project “Russian Language on Moodle” using the author’s multimedia courses “Kraski-A1” and “Kraski-A2”. E-learning of Russian as a foreign language on Moodle is presented as a new form of learning and teaching in which a more active student-teacher interaction and student-student interaction intensifies the development of the student’s communicative competence outside the language learning environment. It shows the forms of communication in the new educational environment (e.g. forums and blogs) in the age of Web 2/0 that encourages the improvement of the students’ language skills and proficiency in written communication.

Formation of professional adaptability of students in institutions of primary vocational education

The study reveals a set of principles determining the formation of students’ professional adaptability in the educational process. The author proposes a model for the formation of students’ professional adaptability within primary vocational education, singles out the stages of this adaptability and defines pedagogical conditions aimed at increasing the effectiveness of forming students’ professional adaptability in institutions of primary vocational education.

Adolescents’ leisure activities as a means of their socialization

The research reveals the psychological and pedagogical peculiarities of adolescents’ leisure, discloses the socializing resources of modern society and shows its opportunities in organizing adolescent’s free time. The author determines the specifics, content, principles and conditions of juveniles’ pedagogically organized leisure activity and proposes its successfully tested structural-functional model. Besides, the study reveals and describes adolescents’ socialization patterns within pedagogically organized free-time activities. Educational and methodical complex "Uynr" as an effective means of teaching the native language and speech development in Kalmyk primary school

The thesis is dedicated to urgent issues of creating harmonious system of teaching the Kalmyk language in the primary school, to the factors underlying dysfunctionality and low demand for the Kalmyk language. The author proposes the principles of constructing a methodological system for teaching the Kalmyk language in the primary school when the national language is on the verge of extinction. The content and principles concerning the selection and organization of teaching material are substantiated.

Development of professional creativity of teachers working in pedagogical universities

In the thesis, the essence and peculiarities of the creative organization of the pedagogical process in the teachers’ training universities are revealed and disclosed. The ways of developing university teachers’ professional art are defined, theoretically grounded and experimentally tested, along with psychological, pedagogical and organizational conditions enabling them to fulfill their abilities and creative potential.
