Working trip of delegation of The RUDN University to the Republic Kenya
On March 9, 2017 during a working trip to the Republic Kenya of the RUDN University’s delegation headed by the vice-rector for the international academic mobility Larisa Ivanovna Efremova passed off a number of the meetings devoted to questions of cooperation between The RUDN University and the Republic of Kenya.
The first meeting was held with the governor of the province of Nairobi m-r Evans Kidero. There was discussed the possibility of cooperation and admission of the most talented Kenyan citizens for studying in The RUDN University . Was reached arrangements on signing of the memorandum of a cooperation. The governor promised to visit The RUDN University for it's implementation .
The second meeting with administration of The Kenyan university, led by the Rector Mr. Paul Weineina, was also very fruitful. The Kenyan university is the second-large educational institution in the republic. During this meeting was decided to sign memorandum of a cooperation in the priority directions, first of all in the sphere of engineering sciences, mathematics, physics and medicine. The representatives of RUDN University expressed readiness of agreement's signature about a joint master programs.
In the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kenya was presented the program of RUDN University, the most interesting educational programs, and also the program of an internship. During the meeting the representatives of the Ministry of Education of Kenya made the offer on holding meetings with the head of commission on university education Mr. Christopher Kibet Yegon which grants licenses to the foreign educational organizations for the purpose of a cooperation on the all educational levels (from students to a postgraduate study, internship in the Republic of Kenya). The meeting took place in rather warm atmosphere.
Also during the visit to Kenya delegation of the RUDN University participated in an educational exhibition jointly with the «Kenruss» agency, than attracted great interest among Kenyan entrants.
In October, Anna Kurbatova, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Environmental Safety and Product Quality Management, held a master class at Rotary International. A report in English on the impact of the waste management industry on climate and human health aroused interest among members of the club and its guests.
More than 1,000 students and young scientists from 50 countries became participants in the conference "For the sustainable development of civilization: cooperation, science, education, technology." They discussed improving the quality of human life in terms of the economic, socio-political and environmental sectors and key approaches to minimizing the negative impact on the environment. Five days of productive sessions are over - we tell you what we managed to learn about.

More than 330 people from 48 countries from Australia to Canada, and from Ecuador to Japan, took part in the event.
