Once in about twenty years, the cumulative technological progress is altering disruptively the capabilities of communication networks as well as reshapes their overall impact on the progress of our society. Previously, such changes were associated with the emergence of the third-generation (3G) cellular systems in 1999. These technological breakthroughs underpinned the construction of the connected society by providing the users with unprecedented services for transfer of multimedia data.
Soon, in 2019, the completion of fifth-generation (5G) systems and their ratification in standards are expected, while the launch of their large-scale implementations is scheduled for 2020. The emerging 5G technologies are designed to integrate all of the latest developments in mobile and fixed communication networks, offer the data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s, deliver the cloud computing capabilities directly to their users and, most importantly, become the foundation of digital economy.
5G Summit R&D Russia in Moscow was the first event of its kind in Russia. It provided a convenient platform for the industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from both industry and academia to collaborate and share their ideas related to the novel 5G technology that can in turn facilitate its development, standardization, and implementation. At the Summit, particular attention was dedicated to discussing the scientific perspectives on long-term transformations and innovations in the digitalization of megacities, by example of the city of Moscow.ф
The collection consists of two volumes and includes biographical information about Russian demographers and their scientific research. The first volume is devoted to the research of the Pre-Revolutionary period, the second to the works of the Soviet era and the present.
For the first time, RUDN University hosted an International Scientific and Practical Conference on Space Law, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Gennady Zhukov. The conference was attended by scientists from 12 countries - Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Germany, Greece, India, Iran, China, Côte d'Ivoire, Saudi Arabia, Sweden and Russia.
The RUDN University hosted the V Conference on Plastic Surgery, which was attended by 387 physicians. At the forum, scientists discussed the main vectors of development in plastic surgery, dermatovenereology, aesthetic gynecology and dietetics. What challenges are facing plastic surgery, how new technologies in aesthetic medicine are used in oncology, perineology and gynecology - we will tell you below.
